Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill., held its spring commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 24. Brandon Busteed, executive director of Gallup Education, delivered the commencement speech. Around 600 students participated in the ceremony.

Members of the Class of 2015 received their diplomas May 17 at the 194th Colgate University Commencement. Eddie S. Glaude Jr., the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American studies and the chair of the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University, delivered the keynote address.

Several local residents made the academic Deans' List at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a fall 2014 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 1,983 students receiving the same honor.

Azusa Pacific University students served in local ministries through the Center for Student Action during the fall semester with the City Links program.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours.
